Situated just 200m from the palm-fringed, snowy white beach
in Camps Bay, you will find this historical house, Swiss Cottage
No.1, nestled below the Apostles Mountain Range (Part of Table
Mountain).
A feature and landmark in Camps Bay Village, it is one of
four "Swiss Cottages" that came from Oslo, Norway, where the
wood was cut and shaped, ready to assemble and then shipped
to Cape Town in 1902.
Your
hosts, Dr Smith & Elmira, and the staff are dedicated
to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Whilst Dr Smith is a dentist with a full time practice, Elmira
is responsible for the management of the guest house. Camps Bay
is the number one tourist destination in Cape Town, South
Africa. Only ten minutes drive to the city, the Waterfront
and Table Mountain and thirty minutes to the airport, Wine
Route and False Bay.
From
the guest house, walk to the beach and shops and savour the
local and international cuisine offered by the many restaurants
and side-walk cafes. Witness the stunning sunsets over the
sea whilst sipping cocktails from the funky Baraza's Bar or
the balcony of the famous Blues or Summerville Restaurant;
or simply soak up the sun on the number one rated beach in
South Africa.
Swiss Cottage
has built a reputation as a place that is "a home away
from home" and nothing is too much for us to organise and arrange for our guests. Many guests
have become personal friends and have visited several times
and referred their friends and family to Swiss Cottage. Guests
appreciate the fact that they can walk (takes 2 minutes) to
the beach and restaurants.
